Managing the Equine Business
This course is an introduction to managing the business providing products or services to the equine industry. Prerequisites: NONE

Sales in the Equine Industry is an online class that will examine the principles of professional sales techniques in the equine environment. Prerequisites: NONE

Marketing and the Equine Industry
An introduction to strategic marketing management in the social, economic, and technological environments of today’s equine industry. Prerequisites: NONE

Equine Entrepreneurship I
An introduction to strategic planning regarding the economic and financial feasibility of a business venture with an emphasis on processes for developing a comprehensive enterprise analysis. Prerequisites: Managing the Equine Business, Sales in the Equine Industry, and Marketing and the Equine Industry.

Equine Entrepreneurship II
Advanced methods of strategic planning for the long-term success and viability of a business venture. Prerequisites: Equine Entrepreneurship I.

Course Delivery
All participants access Equine Entrepreneurship courses through http://elearning.tamu.edu, the portal for the Texas A&M Blackboard Vista course management system. Blackboard Vista gives participants secure access to course materials and allows them to interact with the instructor and each other using discussion boards. Continuing education participants will receive a username and password from the instructor prior to the course.

To enter the course:

  1. Go to http://eLearning.tamu.edu
  2. Click "Continuing Education Logon"
  3. Enter your User Name (provided by your instructor)
  4. Enter the password (provided by your instructor). You will be prompted to change your password after logging into the system or the first time.
  5. Select "CE_AG_AGECON-Sales in the Equine Industry" to enter the course.
  6. Open the Materials & Discussions folder to see the materials for this week.
